Beatles Biopic Cast Recreates the Abbey Road Crossing
Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan and Harris Dickinson have been spotted walking in single file across that famous zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios, recreating the cover of the Beatles' 1969 album in full costume on the set of Sam Mendes's upcoming four-film Beatles biopic. The image mirrors the original photograph taken on 8 August 1969, which showed John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and George Harrison making the same walk outside EMI Studios in London. The casting pairs each actor with a Beatle: Mescal plays Paul McCartney, Dickinson plays John Lennon, Quinn plays George Harrison, and Keoghan plays Ringo Starr. The supporting roles reach into the band's inner circle of family, management, and production — Epstein was the band's manager, Martin their producer at EMI, and Klein the American businessman who later took over their business affairs.
