Four Beatles Films to Hit Cinemas in April 2028, One for Each Band Member

All four Beatles films are coming to cinemas in April 2028.
The films, directed by Sam Mendes and released by Sony Pictures Entertainment, will tell the band's story from four different angles, one for each member, producer Pippa Harris told an industry audience at the BFI London Film Festival, as reported by Variety.
The project is titled The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event. Harris is producing it for Neal Street Productions, the London company she shares with Mendes.
Each film follows a different Beatle. Harris Dickinson plays John Lennon, Paul Mescal plays Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn plays George Harrison and Barry Keoghan plays Ringo Starr.
Harris said the films "stand alone as individual stories of each of those four men, but they have a cumulative power, which I think is greater than the sum of the parts."
The plan is not to drop all four on the same day. Audiences will be able to watch them in sequence in cinemas during the same period, such as one per week across the month.
That staggered rollout is the point. Viewers can start with one member's version and then see the same history bend and shift through another member's eyes.
The wider cast is filling out. Lucy Boynton and Morfydd Clark have joined the ensemble, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with Aimee Lou Wood and Anna Sawai also added to the company. Julie Pastor of Neal Street is producing alongside Mendes and Harris.
Production is well advanced. Harris said she was on day 180 of the shoot when she spoke in London. The production had been filming on Abbey Road, the famous north London street linked with the band, Deadline reported in August.
Her comments came during the Industry Forum at the 70th BFI London Film Festival, which runs from 8 to 15 October, according to the BFI. Harris headlined the forum with producer James Wilson.
For fans, this means a month at the pictures. Four releases. Four points of view. One band.
