The 10-day trend blog, dated without a specific publication timestamp and therefore lower in recency priority, strikes a more cautious tone on rainfall amounts, citing the weakening nature of the front. This is a common tension in medium-range forecasting: short-range models capture convective detail (the physics of individual storms and showers) and frontal dynamics with higher confidence, while extended-range products must hedge for ensemble spread — the range of possible outcomes when the same model is run many times with slight variations — and systemic model biases that tend to over-advertise frontal decay.
