EA Sports FC 27 Ratings Revealed: Mbappé, Haaland, and Alexia Putellas Top the Launch List

Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland share the summit of EA Sports FC 27's men's ratings at 91 overall, while Alexia Putellas stands alone at the top of the women's list with a 91 of her own — the single highest-rated player across both reveals.

EA Sports published the 27 highest-rated men's and women's players on 15 August 2026, kicking off a run of daily rating announcements ahead of the game's 25 September release date. The figures come from EA's own pitch-notes article published 14 August and corroborated by VGC's coverage on 17 August (VGC).

Mbappé, now at Real Madrid as a striker, and Haaland, leading the line at Manchester City, sit one point clear of a crowded field at 90. That group includes Real Madrid teammates Thibaut Courtois (GK) and Jude Bellingham (CAM), Manchester City's Rodri (CDM), Paris Saint-Germain's Ousmane Dembélé (ST) and Vitinha (CM), Bayern München's Harry Kane (ST) and Michael Olise (RM), Barcelona's Pedri (CM) and Lamine Yamal (RW). Lionel Messi, now at Inter Miami in MLS, lands at 89 overall as a CAM.

Putellas, rated 91 as a central midfielder for London City Lionesses, tops the women's ratings by a single point over Aitana Bonmatí (90, FC Barcelona) and Khadija Shaw (90, Manchester City). The 89-rated tier includes Barcelona's Caroline Graham Hansen, Ewa Pajor, and Claudia Pina; Arsenal's Mariona; Kansas City Current's Temwa Chawinga; and a cluster of 88s featuring strikers Alessia Russo (Arsenal), Sophia Wilson (Portland Thorns), Melchie Dumornay (OL Lyonnes), and Barbra Banda (Orlando Pride).

Eight men's clubs earned a maximum five-star rating, including Real Madrid, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich (Athlon Sports). The game itself spans more than 21,000 players across 800-plus clubs and national teams, with 140 stadiums and over 35 leagues, according to EA's official product page.

For fans, these ratings are a starting point, not a final verdict. EA adjusts player ratings throughout the year via squad updates — typically after transfer windows close — meaning a striker's slow start or a goalkeeper's clean-sheet run can shift numbers well into the season. The daily reveals will continue through the lead-up to launch, with deeper position-by-position breakdowns expected in the coming weeks.

EA Sports FC 27 is scheduled for release on 25 September.
