That early window is early access, a paid head start for players who buy the pricier edition. The timing splits by platform, with PC on one global moment and consoles unlocking by local clock, according to release-time details reported by Video Games Chronicle.
On PC, early access goes live simultaneously worldwide on 17 September at 4pm PT / 7pm ET. That is 18 September at midnight BST, 1am CEST, 8am JST, 9am AEST and 11am NZST.
Consoles work differently. On PlayStation and Xbox, early access unlocks at midnight local time as 17 September turns to 18 September. There is no single global minute. Your console unlocks when your clock hits midnight.
The same split applies to the main launch. On PC, the Standard Edition goes live simultaneously worldwide on 24 September at 4pm PT / 7pm ET. That equals 25 September at midnight BST, 1am CEST, 8am JST, 9am AEST and 11am NZST.
On console, the Standard Edition unlocks at midnight local time as 24 September turns to 25 September. EA lists the global launch as 25 September 2026, with the game offered in Standard, Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions.
Xbox owners have one workaround if they want the earliest possible minute. It is known as the New Zealand trick, changing the console region to jump to an earlier time zone. Players change Location to New Zealand, fully restart the Xbox, then launch the game from the library.
EA Play members get a separate route in. The subscription service includes a 10-hour trial of the Standard Edition from 18 September, according to EA. EA says the Ultimate Edition offers up to seven days of early access, and its launch update notes that Ultimate Plus pre-orders also include access from 18 September.
For fans, this means check your edition first, then your platform. PC players wait for the afternoon unlock in the United States. Console players watch the clock at home.
