Love Island USA Season 8 Reunion Promises Unseen Footage That 'Cleared a Lot of Things'

Ariana Madix says the Love Island USA Season 8 reunion includes an unseen-footage special that "cleared a lot of things" for the Islanders — and it streams on Peacock on Monday, August 31 at 9 p.m. ET.

The reunion was filmed in two parts on August 10, according to People and Peacock's own blog. Madix, who hosts the dating competition series, teased the unseen footage in an interview with Deadline published the same day. She described the special as "the perfect conclusion to the season" Deadline.

Madix co-hosts the reunion with Andy Cohen. The pairing brings together two familiar faces of reality television — Madix as the show's host since Season 6, Cohen as the long-time face of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live.

Season 8 crowned Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai as its winning couple. They are expected to appear alongside a sizeable cast of Islanders at the reunion, including Aniya Harvey, Melanie Moreno, Kayda Bosse, Dylan Wrona, Kenzie Annis, Corbin Mims, Caleb McDaniel, Tierra "Titi" Davis and KC Chandler. Sean Reifel, the first Islander dumped this season, also attended the taping. Early fan favourites Beatriz Hatz and Sol Dean round out the confirmed lineup Deadline.

Love Island USA, for the uninitiated, is a dating show where singles couple up in a villa and face public votes that can send them home. Peacock revived the US version in 2022, and Season 8 premiered on the platform on June 2. The reunion is where contestants reconvene after the finale to revisit drama, confront each other and watch moments they never saw during filming.

The unseen-footage concept is not new to the franchise. The Season 7 reunion aired an extended version of the heart rate challenge — a segment where Islanders try to raise each other's pulses — that left the cast visibly shocked. Season 8's unseen clips appear to serve a similar purpose: showing contestants what was happening off-camera while they were in the villa.
