Catherine Zeta-Jones Thriller 'Kill Jackie' Sets October 2 Premiere on Prime Video
Catherine Zeta-Jones returns to television this autumn as a former drug smuggler turned art dealer with a target on her back. The thriller series Kill Jackie will premiere all eight episodes on Prime Video on October 2 across the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Canada, according to Variety.
Viewers in the United States will have to wait a little longer for a specific date. AMC+ will carry the series in the U.S. sometime in the fall, but an exact premiere date had not been set as of the Variety report on 19 August 2026.
Zeta-Jones plays Jackie, a woman who left international drug smuggling behind for the legitimate art world — only for her past to catch up with her. She must take out a group of hitmen before they reach her, according to Deadline.
The series is based on The Price You Pay, a novel by Nick Harkaway writing under the pseudonym Aidan Truhen. Tom Butterworth, whose credits include Gangs of London, wrote and showran the series — meaning he served as the lead writer and oversaw the production's creative direction. Butterworth co-created the show with Conor Keane, Peter Lawson and Damon Thomas. Thomas is also the lead director.
Zeta-Jones serves as an executive producer on the series, giving her a role behind the camera as well as in front of it. The production comes from Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures. Filming has already wrapped, and Fremantle released first-look images of Zeta-Jones in character on 5 August 2026.
The show's distribution took shape in late July, when Fremantle announced that AMC Global Media and Warner Bros. had acquired rights to the series — a deal that paved the way for the split release between Prime Video internationally and AMC+ in the United States.
For viewers, the all-at-once release on Prime Video means the full eight-episode run will be available to stream on the same October day in the listed markets. American audiences will get the series through AMC+ — a streaming service that bundles content from AMC Networks — though the exact U.S. arrival date is still to come.
