Catherine Zeta-Jones Revenge Thriller 'Kill Jackie' Gets October 2 Premiere on AMC+

Catherine Zeta-Jones returns to television this autumn as the star and executive producer of Kill Jackie, a revenge thriller landing on AMC+ in the United States and on Prime Video internationally on Friday, October 2.
AMC+ confirmed the premiere date on August 19, along with new key art for the series (Deadline). All eight episodes will be available at once rather than on a weekly schedule — a departure from the release pattern AMC+ had initially indicated. The platform first announced the series on July 21, when AMC Global Media acquired the exclusive U.S. streaming rights (AMC).
Zeta-Jones plays Jackie Price, a woman living in luxury while hiding from a past as an international drug smuggler. That past catches up with her when The Seven Demons — a squad of hired hitmen — are sent to kill her. The story is adapted from The Price You Pay, a novel by Nick Harkaway writing under the pen name Aidan Truhen.
The series was co-created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth, Peter Lawson and Damon Thomas. Thomas serves as lead director, and Butterworth is the writer and showrunner — the person who oversees the writers' room and holds final say on creative decisions across the season. Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures co-produce.
The cast is large and international. Alongside Zeta-Jones, the ensemble includes Daniel Ings, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Óscar Jaenada, Ron Perlman, Julian Barratt, Jonathan Cake, Bill Paterson, Raff Law, Darci Shaw, Hattie Hook, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Karlis Arnolds Avots, Set Sjöstrand, Tadashi Ito, Sebastian Armesto, Gavin Spokes and Bamshad Abedi-Amin (Deadline).
The split release — AMC+ in the U.S., Prime Video everywhere else — follows a model AMC Networks has used to fund and distribute high-budget limited series while widening their reach. Kill Jackie was first unveiled on the AMC Networks press site ahead of the July acquisition announcement (AMC Networks).
For Zeta-Jones, the role adds a thriller to a television résumé that already includes Wednesday on Netflix, where she played Morticia Addams. Kill Jackie gives her a very different gear: a protagonist cornered by her own history, fighting to survive it.
For viewers, October 2 is a single sitting rather than an eight-week wait. All episodes drop together.
