Bradley Jaden to Make Broadway Debut in New Musical 'Wanted'
Bradley Jaden will make his Broadway debut this autumn in Wanted, a new musical set in 1893 Texas, playing the role of Jesse. The production begins previews at the James Earl Jones Theatre on 15 October, with an official opening night on 8 November (WhatsOnStage).
Jaden is a familiar face to British theatre audiences, with major West End credits to his name. Wanted marks his first time appearing on a Broadway stage — the New York equivalent of the West End, where shows run in the city's roughly 41 designated theatres clustered in and around Times Square. The show is produced by P3 Productions (IBDB).
The musical follows twin sisters Mary and Martha Clarke as they flee forces trying to stop their family from claiming its inheritance. It has a book and lyrics by Angelica Chéri and music by Ross Baum, with direction by Stevie Walker-Webb and choreography by Chelsey Arce (WhatsOnStage).
The previously announced cast features Solea Pfeiffer as Mary Clarke, Liisi LaFontaine as Martha Clarke, Luke James as Elijah, and Ledisi as Tallulah Clarke. Aurelia Williams is also part of the company (Broadway World). Casting for the production is handled by The TRC Company, Tara Rubin and Olivia Paige West (IBDB).
Wanted is not a brand-new writing. It was first staged at Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia in 2020, followed by a production at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey in 2024. A five-track studio EP featuring Pfeiffer, LaFontaine and the show's studio cast is available on streaming platforms (WhatsOnStage).
For Jaden's British following, the move across the Atlantic is a notable one — a West End performer stepping onto a Broadway stage in a show that has already built up material through two regional American productions. The full production now lands at the 1,100-seat James Earl Jones Theatre, one of Broadway's more intimate houses, for an open-ended run.
