The company's own framing, moving from technology verification to engineering reuse, signals intent to make recovery operational rather than simply prove it can be done.

Several open questions remain. LandSpace has not yet publicly specified how long it will take to refurbish and refly the recovered Yao-2 first stage, nor has it published per-launch cost targets that would make Zhuque-3 competitive with Falcon 9 on price. The mission's orbital payload capacity, the number of reuses the airframe is designed to sustain, and whether recovery will be attempted on every subsequent flight are details that will determine whether Zhuque-3 moves from proof of concept to commercially disruptive vehicle. For now, the landing itself is the milestone: a Chinese private company has matched a capability previously held only by U.S. firms, and it did so on its second attempt.
