Flo Rida picked up a baby from the crowd while performing atop the dugout at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday, 18 August, after the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Miami Marlins 6-4.

The postgame concert, presented by Jim Beam, was part of a theme-night promotion that sold field passes alongside regular game tickets. Flo Rida was performing an a cappella version of "My House" — a track that reached the top five of the Billboard Hot 100, the chart that ranks the most popular songs in the US each week — when he reached into the audience and lifted the child, who was wearing a Phillies jersey and appeared to have been woken from a nap by the stadium speakers.

He held the baby in one arm, microphone in the other, and kissed her on the cheek before handing her back to her parents. A fan on X later nicknamed the baby the "People's Princess of Philadelphia." Billboard reported the moment on 19 August.

The Phillies' first pitch that evening was scheduled for 6:40 PM, according to the team's official Facebook page. The concert took place on the field after the final out, as listed on the Phillies' promotions page.

Flo Rida, whose given name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, has been a reliable stadium draw this summer. The Philadelphia date is one stop in a run of postgame concerts tied to Major League Baseball fixtures across the country. He performed at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on 25 July after the Cardinals hosted the San Diego Padres, and at Kauffman Stadium for the Kansas City Royals the following night. Earlier in the season he played Target Field for the Minnesota Twins on 14 June. The Arizona Diamondbacks have a Flo Rida postgame show scheduled for 5 September, presented by Coors Light Birds Nest.

His catalogue fits the format. "My House" peaked in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. "G.D.F.R.," released in 2015, reached No. 8 on the same chart. Both tracks are the kind of uptempo, hook-driven singles that translate to open-air stadium sound systems and crowds that may have come for the baseball as much as the music.

The Phillies listed the concert on their Theme Nights page, and the promotion offered fans a dedicated ticket option for the event. Jim Beam's sponsorship was announced on the Phillies' social media channels on 27 July.

For the baby in the Phillies jersey, the night will be remembered mostly by her parents and by whoever was holding the phone. For Flo Rida, it was another stadium, another crowd, and one brief duet partner who did not audition for the part.
