Princess Olympia of Greece has released her first exclusive capsule collection through Moda Operandi, the online luxury retailer, in partnership with the denim brand DL1961. The nine-piece collection dropped on a Thursday and is priced from $279 to $999 (WWD).

Moda Operandi brought Olympia on as a contributing editor in February 2025, describing her as a tastemaker, model and designer. In that role she has already curated a shop page called "Olympia's Closet," which carries items ranging from a $175 pair of organic cotton poplin pants to a $2,895 exclusive silk crepe bias maxi dress (WWD, February 2025; Moda Operandi). The DL1961 capsule is her first turn as a designer for the retailer.

The collection reflects Olympia's personal wardrobe, rooted in elevated denim and everyday layering. She cited '90s supermodel airport looks as a key inspiration — oversized jackets, plaid shirts, double denim, and pieces that feel "borrowed from the boys." The range pulls in references to classic Americana, the English countryside, and '90s off-duty style (WWD).

Three denim pieces anchor the capsule across two fits. The Olympia Slim Straight Mid-Rise jean comes in royal and "greece" washes. The Cate Classic Straight High-Rise jean is offered in a "drama" wash. Rounding out the denim selection is the Addison Denim shirt in royal. Beyond denim, the capsule includes a relaxed V-neck sweater, a cropped burgundy barn jacket with a leather collar, and a brown suede jacket paired with a coordinating micro skirt (WWD).

The campaign was photographed by Grayson Vaughan in Central Park. Shoppers can buy the capsule both on Moda Operandi's site and on DL1961's own e-commerce platform (WWD).

April Hennig, president of Moda Operandi, said the company sees strong demand for its exclusive capsules — limited-run collections produced with a single collaborator — which it releases roughly once a month (WWD).

For DL1961, the collaboration extends a pattern of partnerships. The New York-based denim label has previously worked with Perfect Moment on a sustainable denim ski capsule, and with the Ukrainian label Kseniaschnaider on a denim collection. DL1961 also expanded into ready-to-wear with leather and knit pieces, and has flagged sustainability steps across its collections (DL1961 press page).

What gives the capsule its pull is the meeting of two retail logics. Moda Operandi, known for its preorder model — letting customers order looks straight from the runway before they reach shops — is leaning into shorter, exclusive drops that move faster than a full seasonal buy. DL1961 brings the denim credibility, a mill-to-garment operation that has invested in sustainability claims. Princess Olympia brings the audience, a following built on modelling, personal style and her royal profile. Each party supplies what the other two lack, and the price band — under $1,000 for every piece — sits between mass denim and designer luxury in a way few collaborations manage.
