Moose Knuckles Launches Iceberg Quilt, a New Lightweight Outerwear Category Priced From $495

Moose Knuckles, the Canadian outerwear label, has unveiled a new product category it calls Iceberg Quilt — a line of lightweight down jackets and vests built around a quilt pattern the brand says is inspired by the geometry of natural ice formations. The launch was announced on 20 August 2026 and continues the brand's pre-fall 2026 story, which began earlier this year with the rollout of its Bunny collection. (WWD)
The category spans both women's and men's pieces. Key styles include the women's Iceberg Lightweight jacket, the men's Iceberg Quilt jacket and the men's Iceberg vest. The colour palette runs to black, navy and alabaster, with Rosewood and Blue Ice as accent shades. Prices range from $495 to $895. (WWD)
Ludovico Bruno, Moose Knuckles' global creative director, said Iceberg Quilt gives the brand a chance to extend its outerwear into a new lightweight construction category — in other words, a thinner, less insulated build than the heavy parkas the label is known for, aimed at milder weather or layering. The move fits a pattern Moose Knuckles has been building through 2026. In February, the brand revealed a Spring campaign and collection built around lightweight outerwear, technical layers and modular silhouettes — pieces designed to be worn, removed and recombined as conditions change. (WWD) By April, the brand's Spring/Summer 2026 collection was positioned explicitly as a push toward a year-round wardrobe, with outerweight and modular pieces designed for movement and urban use, according to the brand's own social channels. What stands out is the pricing. At $495 to $895, Iceberg Quilt sits in the accessible-luxury band — below the four-figure tags typical of premium down specialists like Moncler, but well above mass-market puffers from Uniqlo or H&M. That is a deliberate lane for Moose Knuckles, which has built its business on technically credible outerwear at a price point that feels premium without crossing into true luxury territory.
The timing also matters. Pre-fall — the between-seasons range brands show ahead of the main autumn/winter calendar — is when labels try to bridge the commercial gap between the last sale period and the next runway drop. A lightweight construction launched in August is designed to land in stores as temperatures begin to drop, giving shoppers an entry-level outerwear option before the heavy coats arrive.
For Moose Knuckles, the broader strategy is clear: become a brand that dresses customers across the calendar, not only in deep winter. Iceberg Quilt is the latest piece of that.
