Foo Fighters Step In as Special Guests for AC/DC's St. Louis Show
Foo Fighters will be special guests at AC/DC's Sept. 8 show at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, the band announced on Aug. 20.
They are filling in for The Pretty Reckless, who had been opening for AC/DC on the Australian rockers' POWER UP TOUR 2026 across North American stadiums. No reason was given for the lineup change. The Dome at America's Center holds 67,000 people, according to Billboard.
For Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, the booking carries personal weight. Grohl described the prospect of sharing a stage with AC/DC as "literally a dream come true," recalling that he first encountered the band through their 1980 concert film Let There Be Rock at age 11.
The announcement arrives as Foo Fighters wind down their own run of North American stadium dates on the Take Cover tour, which the band launched in August with shows across the United States and Canada, as Pitchfork reported last October.
AC/DC's POWER UP TOUR 2026 has been routed through major indoor stadiums and outdoor venues since earlier this year. The St. Louis date was first confirmed in July by Live Nation, with the venue reiterating the booking in August. Tickets for the show start at $67.
For fans heading to St. Louis, the Sept. 8 date now pairs two acts with decades of stadium headlining between them — AC/DC still touring behind 2020's Power Up, and Foo Fighters fresh off their own stadium circuit, stepping into a support slot they sound genuinely thrilled to occupy.
