Foo Fighters to open for AC/DC at rescheduled MetLife show

Foo Fighters will open for AC/DC at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Friday, Oct. 2. The concert is the rescheduled date from the POWER UP Tour stop first planned for Sept. 25. Tickets from the original date will be valid for the new show.
AC/DC cancelled the Sept. 25 date because of a nor'easter storm, Billboard reported. MetLife Stadium said the show was moved to Oct. 2 because of incoming inclement weather, according to News 12. Holders do not need new tickets.
It will be the second time on this run that Foo Fighters have taken the opening slot. They opened for AC/DC on Sept. 8 at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Billboard reported. On that night they filled in for The Pretty Reckless, the billed support act.
AC/DC confirmed the MetLife pairing on its website, listing the Oct. 2 event as the rescheduled POWER UP Tour date with Foo Fighters, AC/DC. The tour is the band's current stadium run. The New Jersey date now closes out a disrupted stretch shaped by weather and a late change of opener.
For fans, this means a double bill of two arena-scale catalogues in one night. Expect an early start. Doors and set times for rescheduled stadium shows often shift, so ticket holders should check the MetLife Stadium listing before travelling.
