Prince Harry's bond with cousins Beatrice and Eugenie has gone cold, sources say

Prince Harry's relationship with his closest royal cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, has deteriorated to the point where they are "not even in touch," according to sources speaking to HELLO! magazine.
An insider told the magazine that Harry and his wife Meghan are no longer as close to the sisters as they once were, and that Harry did not see Eugenie over the summer in Portugal, where both have homes. "They're not in touch," the source said of Beatrice and Eugenie's current contact with Harry, "despite Eugenie once being so close to him" (HELLO!).
The disclosure lands as Harry reportedly prepares for a return to the UK. He remains estranged from his brother, the Prince of Wales, with HELLO! reporting in July that a meeting between the two is highly unlikely (HELLO!).
Princess Eugenie, 36, occupied a unique place in Harry's life. She was one of the first royal relatives told about his romance with Meghan Markle, one of the first family members to visit the couple in California, and the only royal to appear in the Sussexes' 2022 Netflix documentary. The Sussexes previously lent their UK base, Frogmore Cottage, to Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank when the couple needed a place to stay — a gesture that, in the source's framing, now underlines how much has changed.
The distance appears to be more than geographical. Harry and Meghan visited Portugal in July but did not meet up with Eugenie, weeks before she welcomed her third child, Adelaide Brooksbank. The source also noted that Harry has "very few friends left from before" (HELLO!).
Beatrice, 37, has been drawing her own conclusions about where she stands. In 2023, she and Eugenie were spotted leaving The Princess Royal pub in Notting Hill after lunch with Piers Morgan — a figure long critical of Harry and Meghan — which prompted speculation that the sisters were quietly pulling away. HELLO! also reported in May that questions raised about the sisters' financial affairs had led to suggestions they might seek to re-establish themselves within the royal fold (HELLO!).
All of these claims about the cousins' relationship rest on unnamed sources speaking to a single outlet. No statement has been issued by the Sussexes, by Princess Beatrice, or by Princess Eugenie in response.
What gives the report weight is the documented history. Eugenie's closeness to Harry was visible for years — the California visits, the documentary appearance, the shared holidays. When a bond that public quietly stops producing any visible contact, the absence is the story.
