Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no public engagements planned for the next fortnight, a source told The Times. The report was picked up by Hello! Magazine, which published it on 28 October 2026.

A fortnight is two weeks. Public engagements are the visits, speeches and appearances that royals carry out in an official or public role. They are usually known in advance, and the palace records the King's and other working royals' duties in a daily listing called the Court Circular.

According to Hello, the couple are spending the October half-term school break with their children, Prince Archie, who is seven, and Princess Lilibet, who is five. Half-term is the week off school that falls in the middle of the autumn term.

The quiet stretch falls during King Charles's nine-day autumn tour, which is a Caribbean trip. Hello reported that a source said Prince Harry will be mindful not to distract from the official visit.

Harry and Meghan, known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are not expected to stay out of public view for the rest of the year. The Times reports that the couple are expected to take part in at least one outing as a couple before the end of 2026.

Prince William is also due in the news this autumn. He is set to visit Mumbai in November for the Earthshot Prize, an annual award for environmental projects.

Readers who want to follow the couple's plans can check their official website, sussex.com, which lists the couple's work and charities. Any change to the plans should appear there or in the Court Circular.
