Yungblud crowd-surfed in a wheelchair while performing with a broken leg at the Vilar de Mouros festival in Portugal on Tuesday night, keeping his European tour schedule intact despite an injury that could have shelved it entirely.

The British musician, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, broke his leg in a dirt-bike accident just hours before his 9 August concert at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. He took the Sturgis stage anyway, telling the crowd he would not be able to "hop around and shake my ass" as usual but would keep drinking Jack Daniel's, according to Rolling Stone.

At Vilar de Mouros, nurses wheeled him onto the stage with his leg still in a cast. From the wheelchair, he performed his set and then went further — letting the audience carry him over their heads as he crowd-surfed. After the show, he posted on social media with characteristic brevity: "Good way to break my leg …" Rolling Stone reported the performance and the remark on 20 August.

Yungblud confirmed that his European concerts would continue as scheduled despite the injury, which he sustained in what was described as a motorcycle accident. Billboard first reported his commitment to the festival dates on 17 August.

One date remained on his itinerary after Portugal: a Friday night slot at Belgium's Pukkelpop festival, one of the country's largest outdoor music events. After that, he planned to rest and recover from the injury.

For an artist whose live shows are built on physical intensity — jumping, running, and direct contact with the crowd — a broken leg is not a minor inconvenience. It is the central prop of the performance, suddenly rendered impossible. That Yungblud chose to adapt rather than cancel says something about the economics of festival season, where scrapped dates are rarely rescheduled and crew wages depend on the show going on.
