Yungblud broke his leg in a minor motorcycle accident at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, a representative for the 29-year-old musician confirmed to Billboard.

The accident occurred during the rally, which ran from 7 to 16 August. Yungblud revealed the injury on Sunday, 13 August, in an Instagram post featuring photos of his injured leg, set to the audio of Elton John's "I'm Still Standing."

His caption was blunt: "Leg f--ked. Still giggin. Still standin (sort of)."

Despite the broken leg, Yungblud said his upcoming shows remain on schedule. He wrote that performances in Portugal and Belgium the following week would still go ahead. Those appearances are at the Vilar de Mouros Festival in Portugal and the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium, according to Billboard.

Sturgis, a small city in the Black Hills of South Dakota, hosts one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world each August. Hundreds of thousands of riders and spectators descend on the town of roughly 7,000 residents for the ten-day event. Yungblud has not shared further details about the circumstances of the crash.

For fans holding tickets, the message is straightforward: the show goes on. Whether performing on a broken leg changes the set — or the staging — at either festival remains to be seen, but Yungblud has given no indication of pulling out. Both Vilar de Mouros and Pukkelpop are major European summer festivals, and his slots there are unaffected by the injury so far as his announcement and representative confirmation indicate.

The Instagram post's choice of soundtrack said plenty on its own.
