Turnstile Recruit Elton John, Hayley Williams, Four Tet and Two Dozen More for 'Never Enough: Versions'
Turnstile have assembled one of the most wide-ranging guest lists in recent memory for Never Enough: Versions, a reimagining of their 2020 album Never Enough, released on Friday, August 28. The Baltimore band's remix and collaboration project brings together Elton John, Panda Bear, Hayley Williams, Four Tet, Alex G, Blood Orange, Julien Baker, Floating Points and roughly two dozen more contributors across a single record, Pitchfork reported on August 21.
The scale of the guest list is the story. Beyond the marquee names, the album also features Slayyyter, Oklou, A. G. Cook, Nourished by Time, Mustafa, Faye Webster, Dying Fetus, Angel Du$t, Shabaka, Chanel Beads, Dan Deacon, Porches, Brandon Woody, Kettama and Rod Lee. That spread runs from one of the best-selling solo artists in pop history to Baltimore club producer Rod Lee, from hardcore bands to ambient electronic composers. The original Never Enough album, announced in April 2025 as Turnstile's first full-length in four years, carried guest contributions from Panda Bear and Sonic Boom and was set for release on June 6, according to Northern Transmissions.
Turnstile have also mapped a North American tour behind the album. The band announced the Never Enough Tour Pt. 2 in June 2026, with support slots spread across the run including Clipse, Thundercat, Slayyyter, Vince Staples and Hatebreed, Glide Magazine reported. Pitchfork's August 21 coverage also listed Clipse, Slayyyter and Vince Staples as opening support on the tour.
For a physical-format reference point, Roadrunner Records' online store lists a picture disc vinyl edition of Never Enough at $29.98, though the store page does not carry a publication date and the Versions release may carry separate retail configurations.
What makes the Versions lineup striking is not any single name but the sheer breadth of worlds colliding on one tracklist. Elton John sharing billing with Dying Fetus and Baltimore club veteran Rod Lee is a combination that would be difficult to engineer deliberately, let alone arrive at organically. Whether that translates into commercial performance or chart impact is a separate question the numbers will answer in the coming weeks. The album is out now.
