National Geographic's '9/11 Reunited' Brings Survivors Face-to-Face With Strangers Who Saved Them
National Geographic is airing a three-part docuseries that reunites survivors of the September 11 attacks with the strangers who shared their life-or-death moments. Titled 9/11 Reunited, the series airs in full on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on National Geographic, with all three episodes available to stream on demand the next day, August 22, on Disney+ and Hulu (The Hollywood Reporter; ABC7 New York).
The project was made in partnership with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks (The Hollywood Reporter). It is produced by National Geographic and the UK-based production company 72 Films, and premiered earlier this year at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival (Tribeca Film Festival).
For viewers without a cable subscription, the live broadcast can be watched through any live-TV streaming service that carries National Geographic, including DirecTV, Fubo, Sling, and Hulu + Live TV.
