Final Fantasy Resonance Gets a 120-Track Soundtrack — One of the Series' Largest
Square Enix has announced the Final Fantasy Resonance Original Soundtrack: a four-CD, 120-track collection that releases on 28 October (Eurogamer).
That date lands one week after the game itself. Final Fantasy Resonance launches on 22 October 2026 with a suggested retail price of £49.99, as confirmed in Square Enix's June press announcement (Square Enix press). The soundtrack's catalog number is SQEX-11240-3 on Square Enix Japan's music page (Square Enix Japan).
Resonance is the first Final Fantasy title built in HD-2D, a visual style that blends retro pixel art with modern lighting and depth effects. It is based on Brave Exvius, a mobile game that has since been shuttered. Because of that lineage, the soundtrack carries forward music players may already know: 87 of the 120 tracks originally appeared in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and its spin-off, War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Composer Noriyasu Agematsu produced 33 new tracks to sit alongside them.
Some of those new track titles give a flavour of the score: "Leviathanomachy," "Wickedness Afoot," "A Bloom in the Gloom of Shadows," "Break the Limit!," "He Who Shoulders Umbral Darkness," and "Overcome the Menace." Square Enix has also posted music samples on its Instagram, including the game's arrangement of the main Final Fantasy theme (Instagram).
For a sense of scale, the digital soundtrack for Final Fantasy X runs to 89 tracks. Final Fantasy VII has 85. Final Fantasy VIII has 73. At 120, Resonance clears all three.
Physical pre-orders are open now through Square Enix stores in the EU, North America and Japan. The game and soundtrack arrive in a busy October for the publisher, with Resonance positioned as a fresh entry point — a mobile spin-off reborn as a full HD-2D release, carrying its music with it.
