Blood Brothers Lines Up 18-City UK Tour for Spring 2027
Blood Brothers will hit the road again in spring 2027, with an 18-stop UK tour opening at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend from 12 to 16 January and running through to Shrewsbury in late May.
The Bill Kenwright production, written by Willy Russell, announced its full spring 2027 route on 25 August 2026, filling in dates from January to May across England and Wales. After Southend, the tour moves to Southampton (19–23 January), Dartford (26–30 January), Sheffield (2–6 February), New Brighton (9–13 February), Cardiff (16–20 February) and Eastbourne (23–27 February) WhatsOnStage.
March brings the production to Woking (2–6 March), Blackpool (9–13 March), Norwich (16–20 March), Billingham (23–27 March) and Skegness (31 March–3 April). The run then continues to Torquay (6–10 April), Manchester (13–24 April), Croydon (27 April–1 May), Bath (4–8 May), Leeds (11–15 May) and Shrewsbury (18–22 May). Manchester is the longest booking on the schedule, with two weeks rather than the standard one-week sit WhatsOnStage.
Casting for the spring 2027 leg has not yet been announced. The production's own page on the Bill Kenwright Limited website confirms the Southend opening and notes that further spring 2027 dates and venues are yet to be announced, though the WhatsOnStage listing already fills in the full route Bill Kenwright Limited.
The spring 2027 tour follows a previously announced autumn 2026 leg, which opens at the Playhouse Theatre in Weston-super-Mare on 8 September 2026. That cast was also confirmed on 25 August 2026. Vivienne Carlyle returns as Mrs Johnstone, with Sean Jones and Joe Sleight continuing as the twins Mickey and Eddie — the brothers separated at birth and raised in different households whose lives collide later on WhatsOnStage.
The autumn 2026 Narrator role is split across the route: Kristofer Harding plays it from Weston-super-Mare through to Chester, and Richard Munday takes over from Birmingham through to Northampton. Tricia Adele Turner joins as Mrs Lyons, with Beth Danher as Linda, Jamil Abbasi as Neighbour, Sarah Moss as Donna Marie and Miss Jones, Amelia Poggenpoel as Brenda, Jack Anthony Smart as Perkins, and Tim Churchill as Mr Lyons. Michael Gillette, Alex Harland and Graeme Kinniburgh return to the company in supporting roles WhatsOnStage.
Blood Brothers was written by Willy Russell and began life as a play before being adapted into the musical version that has toured the UK for decades. The touring production is directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright, with music supervisor Matt Malone, set and costume designer Andy Walmsley, lighting designer Nick Richings and sound designer Dan Samson. The 2027 dates extend a tour that has been on the road continuously. WhatsOnStage first reported the production adding dates into 2027 back in February 2026, when the route was locked only through to that February. The full spring leg now stretches another three months beyond that WhatsOnStage.
What this means for fans is simple: a show that has rarely left the touring circuit has now confirmed bookings across nearly five months of 2027, from the south coast to the north of England and into Wales. Tickets will go on sale through individual venues.
