30 Rock Cast Reunites for One-Night-Only Live Show at Radio City Music Hall

Five core cast members of 30 Rock are reuniting for a live show at New York's Radio City Music Hall on 11 October to mark the 20th anniversary of the NBC comedy's premiere. Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer will take the stage together for what organisers are calling a "never-to-be-televised event" (The Hollywood Reporter).

The evening will feature "games, nonsense and surprises" with the five cast members, along with appearances from other people who appeared on 30 Rock and special guests. If you are hoping to stream it later, that is not happening. The phrase "never-to-be-televised" is doing real work here — this is a see-it-in-person-or-miss-it affair.

Tickets go on presale at 10 a.m. ET Wednesday, with public sales following at the same time Thursday (The Hollywood Reporter).

All net proceeds from the event go to the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem, supporting after-school, academic and career programmes that serve more than 2,000 young people each year. Shaba R. Keys, president and CEO of the organisation, is the charitable partner on the reunion celebration.

The venue choice carries a touch of poetry. Radio City Music Hall sits directly across the street from 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the building that gives the show its name (NBC News). The series, created by Fey, ran for seven seasons on NBC and won 16 Emmys, including three consecutive Outstanding Comedy Series awards from 2007 to 2009.

For fans who never quite let go of the show, this is the closest thing to new 30 Rock in years. No reboot, no revival — just one night.
