Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release Hacks: The Complete Series as a Blu-ray box set in autumn 2026, timed for the holiday shopping season — the first time all five seasons of the show have been sold together on disc (Variety).

The set will include never-before-seen bonus features, among them bloopers and deleted scenes, according to the same report. For a show that wrapped its fifth and final season on 28 May 2026, the release lands less than six months after the finale aired.

Creators and executive producers Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky issued a joint statement marking the announcement. Downs and Statsky had signalled their intention to put out a full-series box set back in May, speaking around the time of the finale (Deadline). The plan has now moved from intent to a scheduled release, and on a format — Blu-ray, not DVD — that upgrades the original idea.

The show arrives on disc carrying one of the heaviest awards records in comedy. The fifth and final season earned 24 Emmy nominations, the most ever for a television comedy, plus one additional nomination for the companion special Hacks: Bit by Bit (Variety). Over its full run, Hacks collected 86 total nominations and 12 Emmy wins, including the outstanding comedy series prize in 2024.

Jean Smart, who leads the cast as comedian Deborah Vance, has won an Emmy for every season the show has been on the air — four wins across four eligible seasons. A fifth win at the upcoming ceremony would give her a series sweep and an eighth career Emmy, tying her with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Cloris Leachman for the second-most acting Emmys won by a female performer.

The ensemble cast also includes Hannah Einbinder, Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato and Rose Abdoo. Behind the camera, the show is executive produced by Downs and Aniello through their Paulilu banner, Statsky through First Thought Productions, Michael Schur via Fremulon, David Miner for 3 Arts Entertainment, Morgan Sackett, Joe Mande, Aisha Muharrar, Nate Young and Ashley Glazier. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.

The fifth and final season premiered on 8 April 2026 (Deadline), bringing the series to a close after five seasons.

For fans, the box set means the whole run of Hacks — every episode, plus material that never made it to air — will be available in one physical package for the first time. In an era when most viewers stream, a complete-series Blu-ray is a format choice that tends to appeal to collectors and completists rather than the casual viewer. But for a show with this many Emmys on the shelf, there is clearly an audience ready to own it outright.
