Prime Video has secured exclusive streaming rights to the new Baywatch series across Canada, Latin America, India and Europe, locking in the reboot for an international audience that spans more than a dozen territories. Variety reported the deal on 4 August 2026.

The multi-territory licensing agreement covers the new 12-episode season plus the full Baywatch back catalogue — every season of the original series and the spin-off Baywatch Hawaii. That means subscribers in those regions will get both the new show and the archive that made the franchise a global fixture in the 1990s.

The new Baywatch is set to debut in the United States in January 2027. In the United Kingdom, the series will land on Sky rather than Prime Video. For the Prime Video territories — Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Canada, Latin America and India — the new season arrives in 2027, though no specific premiere date has been confirmed beyond that window.

Fremantle and Fox Entertainment produce the series. Fox Entertainment Global holds domestic distribution rights, while Fremantle handles international sales — the standard split for a co-production where one company takes the home market and the other sells it abroad. Michela Di Mondo, Fremantle's executive vice-president for international distribution, brokered the Prime Video deal.

Stephen Amell leads the cast. He is joined by Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale and Shay Mitchell as Trina. The roster also includes Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke, Brooks Nader as Selene, and Livvy Dunne as Grace. David Chokachi reprises his original role as Cody Madison.

Three members of the original Baywatch cast will appear as guest stars: Erika Eleniak, Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard. Their involvement ties the reboot directly to the series that ran from 1989 to 2001, which at its peak was syndicated to roughly 150 countries.

For viewers in the licensed territories, the deal means one subscription gets them the new season and every episode of the original run. For everyone else, the home of Baywatch depends on where they live — Fox in the U.S., Sky in the U.K., Prime Video in the rest of the listed markets. The 2027 window gives Fremantle and Fox Entertainment roughly six months from the U.S. launch to roll out the international rollout, a standard gap for a series with separate domestic and international distributors.
