Becky G's 'Baraja Bendita' Debuts at No. 2 on Billboard Top Latin Pop Albums
Becky G's fifth studio album Baraja Bendita has opened at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Latin Pop Albums chart dated Aug. 29, marking her first debut on that ranking in over four years. The album, released via RCA Records on Aug. 14, 2026, also enters Top Latin Rhythm Albums at No. 7 and Top Latin Albums at No. 12, according to Billboard.
Baraja Bendita starts with 7,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the tracking week ending Aug. 20, as reported by Luminate — the data firm whose consumption figures feed Billboard's charts. Equivalent album units convert streaming plays and track sales into a single album-sales measure, allowing records that rack up heavy streaming to chart alongside traditional sales.
The No. 7 entry on Top Latin Rhythm Albums is Becky G's first appearance on that chart in nearly seven years, dating back to Mala Santa in 2019. That same album debuted and peaked at No. 3 on both Top Latin Albums and Latin Rhythm Albums. Baraja Bendita is also her fifth career entry on the Top Latin Albums chart overall.
Becky G's chart history across Latin genres runs wide. Esquemas, her first No. 1 on any albums chart, spent eight weeks atop Top Latin Pop Albums in 2022. Esquinas reached No. 3 on the Top Regional Mexican Albums chart in 2023, and Encuentros hit No. 9 on the same ranking in 2024. The arrival of Baraja Bendita on the Latin Pop and Latin Rhythm lists brings her back to the ground she first broke with Mala Santa.
Several tracks from the 17-song album have already made chart moves of their own. The second single 'EPA' climbed to No. 47 on the Hot Latin Songs chart in May. 'Chula' debuted at No. 11 on the Hot Latin Pop Songs chart, and 'Mal Tiempo', described as the lone tropical cut on the album, opened at No. 19 on the Hot Tropical Songs chart.
Ahead of the album's release, Becky G teased Baraja Bendita with the single 'Patrona', Billboard reported in June. On the record, she returns to her rap roots and reflects on creative freedom and protecting spaces for Latino joy, NPR reported on release day.
