HBO's "I Love L.A." Season 2 Adds Five More Guest Stars, Including Katy O'Brian and Lindsay Sloane
HBO's comedy "I Love L.A." has added five new guest stars to its already sprawling Season 2 roster: Katy O'Brian, Lindsay Sloane, Michael Rispoli, Nelson Franklin, and Rajat Suresh, Variety reported on 27 August 2026.
What any of them will be doing on screen remains a mystery. Character details for all five are being kept under wraps, according to Variety.
The cast additions come with serious pedigree. O'Brian broke out in the film "Love Lies Bleeding" and appeared in "Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning." Sloane is known from the TV series "Playing House" and "The Odd Couple." Rispoli's credits include "The Sopranos" and "The Deuce." Franklin appeared in "Veep" and has the upcoming "The Social Reckoning." Suresh has been seen in "Severance" and "Fallout."
They join a guest-star line-up that was already crowded. Earlier in August, Deadline reported that Taron Egerton, Jamie Chung, Benjamin Norris, Dylan Arnold, Jessy Hodges, and Milan Carter had signed on. Variety also named Gavin Bond, Freddie Castro, Shelby Goldstein, Sela Shiloni, Storm Santos, and Dexter Loscher among the Season 2 guests. TV Insider separately listed Leighton Meester, Moses Ingram, Ayo Edebiri, Lauren Holt, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Josh Brener, Tim Baltz, and Froy Gutierrez. Taken together, the guest cast runs well into double figures.
"I Love L.A." was created by Rachel Sennott, who also stars as Maia, an aspiring talent manager trying to make her way in the city. The series is described on Max's official page as a comedy about a codependent, ambitious friend group navigating life and love in Los Angeles. Odessa A'zion plays Tallulah, a rising star and Maia's college buddy. Josh Hutcherson plays Dylan, Maia's schoolteacher boyfriend. True Whitaker and Jordan Firstman round out the core Season 1 cast.
HBO renewed the show for a second season in November 2025, after just three episodes of the first season had aired — an early vote of confidence that meant no anxious wait for the writers' room or crew. Season 2 is now in production in Los Angeles and will run to eight episodes.
Sennott serves as executive producer alongside Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, Max Silvestri, and Lorene Scafaria. For fans of the show, the mounting guest list signals that Season 2 is building out its world well beyond the core friend group — though exactly how these characters fit together will stay hidden until the episodes arrive.
