Six new faces are heading into the second season of HBO's comedy I Love LA. Taron Egerton, Jamie Chung, Benjamin Norris, Dylan Arnold, Jessy Hodges and Milan Carter have all signed on for guest roles, according to Deadline.

Production on the eight-episode season is already underway in Los Angeles. HBO handed the show an early Season 2 renewal back in November, well before the full picture of its first-season performance had settled.

I Love LA was created by Rachel Sennott, who also stars and executive produces. She plays Maia, a young aspiring talent manager trying to build a career in a city that does not make it easy. The cast entering Season 2 alongside her includes Odessa A'zion as Tallulah, a rising influencer and Maia's college friend, Jordan Firstman as Charlie, Josh Hutcherson as Dylan and True Whitaker as Alani.

The show closed out its first season averaging 2 million viewers in live-plus-three numbers — a measurement that counts viewing across HBO's linear channel and streaming within three days of broadcast. For a comedy in its freshman run, that is a solid footing, and HBO's early renewal signalled confidence before those numbers fully landed.

Sennott executive produces alongside Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, Max Silvestri and Lorene Scafaria. The creative team stays intact heading into the second batch of episodes.

For Egerton, the booking adds another HBO connection to a year that already has him sharing the screen with Sennott elsewhere. In April, Sennott booked a key supporting role in the film Kockroach, opposite Egerton, Chris Hemsworth and Zazie Beetz, as Deadline reported at the time.

Chung, meanwhile, has been part of the I Love LA orbit since at least April, when she joined Sennott, Firstman, Hutcherson, Whitaker and Leighton Meester at an HBO event covered by Variety.

No premiere date for Season 2 has been announced. The guest roles for the six newcomers were not detailed beyond the casting itself, leaving character specifics for HBO to reveal closer to air.
