Mother Denim Opens Its First Standalone Store in Beverly Hills With a Star-Studded Party
Mother, the Los Angeles denim brand, opened its first-ever standalone store in Beverly Hills on August 25, 2026 — and the opening party drew a crowd that crossed music, film and fashion.
The 3,850-square-foot flagship sits at 351 N Canon Drive and carries the brand's denim and ready-to-wear collections, including the newly launched Fall 2026 line (The Glass Magazine). Founders Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding hosted the opening night event, which ran late into the evening with pink margaritas, champagne and mini fried chicken sandwiches, according to Variety.
The guest list gave the night a distinctly LA texture. Brittany Snow, Dave Grohl, Ava Phillippe, Alexandra Shipp, Jasmine Tookes and Daphne Guinness were all in attendance, as documented in photos credited to River Callaway for WWD via Getty Images, dated August 25 in Los Angeles (Variety). The store has been nicknamed "The Big Boy" — a name that showed up across the brand's own channels and the party coverage alike (Variety). When the drinks stopped flowing, the night closed out with pizza from Mulberry Street Pizzeria, served straight from Mother's vintage El Camino parked outside (Variety).
Mother's official Instagram account celebrated the grand opening, noting that guests joined for cocktails, music and "a little well-dressed trouble" (Mother on Instagram). Vogue had already profiled the store in early August, with fashion editor Booth Moore writing an inside look at the space headlined "Mother's Home: Inside the LA Brand's First Standalone Store" (Vogue).
For a brand that built its name selling jeans through department stores and online retailers, a physical flagship on one of Beverly Hills' busiest shopping streets is a notable step. The store is open Monday through Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm (Mother Denim).
What gives the opening its pull is the mix: a denim label throwing a party that pulled in a rock legend, a fashion icon and half of young Hollywood, all for a 3,850-square-foot room on Canon Drive. Mother has spent years dressing people in jeans. Now it has a place for them to stand in.
