Sézane Opens First Permanent Los Angeles Store at Brentwood Country Mart
Sézane, the Paris-based label founded in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory, has opened its first stand-alone brick-and-mortar store in Los Angeles at the Brentwood Country Mart. The boutique, called L'Appartement Los Angeles, is located at 225 26th Street, Suite 52, Santa Monica, and marks the brand's latest permanent foothold in a market it considers one of its two key territories alongside France. The opening follows a series of pop-ups at the same retail complex that were extended multiple times in response to customer demand, according to WWD. The first of those pop-ups dates back to May 2023. Sézalory, the brand's founder and CEO, said of the new store: "This is Sézane as I have always imagined it."
Sézane describes the Los Angeles boutique as a "jewellery box" format — a smaller-footprint shop built around a curated selection of its strongest-performing products. The interior features glossy bordeaux lacquer, striped upholstery and antique mirrors. Pieces on the floor include the Will jacket in chocolate, the Clie and Lani shirts, and upcoming autumn items such as the Jule jacket in light olive green and the Theo and Edgar jumpers.
The store launch coincides with the debut of Sézane's fall 2026 ready-to-wear and accessories collection, meaning shoppers can browse the new season's range in person from day one. The brand's opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday, 11 AM to 5 PM. Sézane
Sézane started online in 2013 with limited drops before expanding into physical retail — a path now common among digitally native brands. Beyond women's ready-to-wear, the label has grown into adjacent lines: Octobre Editions for men, Petit Sézane for children, and Les Composantes for home goods.
The Los Angeles store joins a permanent US network that includes locations in New York's NoLIta neighbourhood, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Seattle. A Dallas pop-up launched in June. Globally, Sézane operates 26 stores across the US, France and Europe, according to WWD.
For shoppers in a city with no shortage of fashion retail, the Brentwood Country Mart location is a deliberate choice — a low-key, open-air shopping complex on the west side of Los Angeles rather than a flagship on a major avenue. The format signals that Sézane is betting on a neighbourhood-anchored, intimate retail experience rather than a high-traffic spectacle.
