JENNIE Releases Three-Track 'Fallen Angel' EP With Dark Fairytale Video

JENNIE released Fallen Angel, a three-track digital EP, at midnight on Friday, August 28, 2026, via Odd Atelier — her own company and label — in collaboration with Columbia Records. The EP landed on streaming platforms worldwide, collecting the title track alongside two other songs: "Heaven" and "Less Than a Lover." Billboard confirmed the release.
The title track arrived with an official music video described as a fairytale, with visual echoes that have drawn comparisons to the work of Tim Burton. Two disclaimers accompany the video: one stating that all fire depicted was created using VFX (computer-generated imagery), and another noting that all scenes involving minors were filmed in a safe environment under appropriate supervision. Both disclaimers were reported by Billboard on August 28.
One track on the EP will already be familiar to fans who caught JENNIE's festival dates. She debuted "Heaven" the previous month when she headlined the closing night of Open'er Festival in Gdynia, Poland. The third track, "Less Than a Lover," is a song JENNIE said she wrote thinking about summer, according to Billboard.
The release had been set for 12am EDT / 1pm KST on August 28, with JENNIE first announcing the solo digital EP a week earlier, on August 21. JENNIE's official website now offers visitors the options to pre-order a physical CD edition, listen to or download the EP, and watch the music video.
That physical CD edition, available for pre-order through JENNIE's official shop, will contain a total of six tracks — three more than the digital version. The expanded tracklist was announced via JENNIE's Weverse notice page. The CD is listed as a product of the Odd Atelier and Columbia Records collaboration on both her US and European shop storefronts.
For fans, the dual release strategy means the digital EP delivers the core three songs now, while the physical edition — a format that in K-pop culture typically includes photobooks, packaging extras and sometimes bonus tracks — offers something more substantial to collect when it ships.
JENNIE, a member of Blackpink, has been building her solo catalog under Odd Atelier, the label she established to control her own releases. Fallen Angel stands as her latest standalone project outside the group.
