Young Thug and YSL Records surprise-dropped Slime Language 3 late on Friday, August 28 — a 41-track double album with no advance warning beyond a cryptic tease of two "sides" in the days beforehand (Billboard).

The project is the third instalment of the YSL compilation series that began with 2018's Slime Language and continued with 2021's Slime Language 2. The first compilation debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 — the chart that ranks the most-consumed albums in the US each week — while the second topped both the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart (Billboard).

The guest list on Slime Language 3 spans Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Future, Yeat, Trippie Redd, Cash Cobain, Veeze and Rob49. YSL roster members appearing across the 41 tracks include Lil Keed, diamond*, Tezzus, Pz', Sk8star, 1300SAINT, Yung Kayo, Biggs, iyrus, Yume, Lil Unky and Unfoonk (Billboard).

One name is conspicuous by its absence: Gunna. The rapper does not appear on Slime Language 3 after fulfilling his contractual obligations to YSL with his 2025 album The Last Wun, following a falling-out with Young Thug tied to the RICO case — the racketeering charges that prosecutors brought against YSL associates in Atlanta. The original 2018 compilation, by contrast, featured Gunna alongside Lil Uzi Vert, Jacquees, Tracy T and Lil Baby (Pitchfork; Billboard).

Slime Language 3 arrives nearly a year after Young Thug's first post-prison album, UY Scuti, released in September 2025. In October 2024, he was sentenced to 15 years' probation and no prison time after pleading guilty in the criminal case accusing him of leading an Atlanta street gang (Billboard).

The physical rollout is already moving. The official YSL Records online store listed the Slime Language 3 CD at $8.00 USD and €7.95 EUR, crediting the project "from Young Thug and TITOLTM." The CD is now marked as sold out (youngstonerliferecords.com).

For a label compilation — an album that showcases a roster rather than a single artist — 41 tracks is substantial. The Slime Language series has functioned as both a showcase for YSL's signed artists and a platform for high-profile collaborations, and the third volume keeps that dual purpose intact while the label's relationship with one of its most recognisable names has clearly shifted.
