Young Thug Surprise-Drops Slime Language 3 as a 41-Track Double Album
Young Thug's Young Stoner Life label surprise-released Slime Language 3 as a double album on Friday, 28 August 2026, according to Billboard. The compilation — the third in a series that began in 2018 — runs 41 tracks, split across two "sides," each with its own cover art, as Pitchfork confirmed.
The guest list spans a wide corner of rap right now. Future, Travis Scott, Lil Baby and Yeat appear alongside Detroit's Veeze, Cash Cobain, Tezzus, diamond*, Pz', and Sk8star. The opener, "Gotta Love Us," features Tezzus, diamond* and BSlime; the closing track, "What It Do," features Unfoonk.
One name is conspicuously absent: Gunna. The Atlanta rapper co-helmed Slime Language 2 with Young Thug in 2021 but does not appear on this instalment. Gunna took an Alford plea deal — a arrangement in which a defendant maintains innocence while acknowledging prosecutors have enough evidence to convict — early in the YSL RICO case, the sprawling racketeering prosecution that ran from 2022 to 2024. His absence from the tracklist lands against that backdrop, though neither the label nor the artists have publicly addressed it.
The release follows UY Scuti, the solo album Young Thug shared in October 2025. Slime Language 3 is the first compilation instalment in five years, and it arrives with a tour attached: Young Thug has announced a YSL label tour kicking off the week of 2 September 2026, featuring many of the same artists who appear on the album.
For fans, the double-album format means a lot of music to sit with at once. Forty-one tracks is a sizeable drop by any measure, and the two-side structure gives the compilation the feel of a label showcase rather than a single-artist record — which is, in effect, what the Slime Language series has always been: a rotating cast of YSL signees and collaborators presented under Young Thug's name. This third edition widens that cast further, pulling in names from outside the label's immediate Atlanta orbit.
