Michelle Obama, Rami Malek and Ciara lead star turnout on US Open Day Twelve
Former First Lady Michelle Obama, Rami Malek and Ciara headlined a star-packed Day Twelve at the 2026 US Open in Queens.
The twelfth day of the tournament took place on September 10 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens, New York City. The lineup was documented in a celebrity photo gallery published on September 13 by Deadline.
Obama attended alongside rapper 2 Chainz. Malek was pictured in the stands, while singer Ciara watched with gymnast Jordan Chiles, basketball coach Dawn Staley and Mia Calabrese.
The Blue Carpet, the tournament’s arrival carpet for high-profile guests, drew its own crowd. Malek appeared there with rapper Gunna. Ciara walked it with her daughter Sienna, and later posed solo.
Actor Cynthia Erivo was pictured arriving for the day’s programme of matches. Speed skater Jutta Leerdam attended with Nakisa Bidarian, and Leerdam also appeared on the Blue Carpet.
The gallery also lists A$AP Rocky, Tate McRae, Emma Roberts, Jimmy Fallon, Orlando Bloom, Seal and Alexandra Daddario among the famous faces who made the trek to Queens.
Earlier in the tournament, other names filled the seats at Flushing Meadows. Orlando Bloom and designer Vera Wang were among the celebrities spotted on the Sunday session, according to the US Open’s own site, USOpen.org. Fan Week, the free opening week of events before the main draw, drew Tinashe, Kaia Gerber, Anna Wintour and Serena Williams.
Late-August coverage also placed Brad Pitt with Ines de Ramon, plus Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek and Elle Fanning in the crowds, as reported by Page Six. Singer SZA was also spotted during the fortnight, according to People.
What makes this stand out is the mix. Politics, film, music, sport and fashion shared the same rows. For fans, this means the US Open remains as much a gathering as a tournament. The colour off the court is organised to sit right beside the tennis.
