Juno Temple Wraps Intimacy Party as New Cast Join
Production has wrapped on Intimacy Party, a relationship comedy led by Juno Temple in the feature directorial debut of Courtney Hoffman, Deadline reported.
Cheri Oteri and John Michael Higgins joined the ensemble before cameras stopped in Los Angeles. Cameras have stopped. The sale starts now.
Temple plays Cleo Kauffman, a woman trying to save her relationship with her fiancé. Her plan is to recreate the intimacy party — a hosted gathering built around open conversation about dating and relationships — where the couple first met.
The wider cast includes Richa Moorjani, Meredith Hagner, Michiel Huisman, Chris Pang, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Patrick Renna, Deadline reported. Oteri and Higgins were the final additions announced with the end of the shoot.
Hoffman wrote the script with Paul Kruse. The producers are Christopher Leggett, Rafael Marmor, Jesse Schiller and Hoffman herself, with Amanda Massetti and Bri Hennessey of Pasta & Tacos Productions serving as executive producers.
The film was shot in Los Angeles with support from a California tax incentive, a state rebate that lowers the cost of filming locally. Worldwide sales, the business of selling distribution rights to buyers in different countries, are being handled by UTA Independent Film Group, Deadline reported.
What makes this stand out for followers of new films is the timing. A finished shoot with a sales team in place usually means talks with distributors come next, as buyers decide where and how the film will reach audiences.
