Writer-director Alex Hanno has signed with Untamed Artists LA for representation across all areas of management, with Eric Ziech serving as his point person at the Los Angeles-based company, according to Deadline.

Hanno is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles whose credits span feature films, short-form work, and live interactive projects. His upcoming psychological thriller Bravado, which he co-wrote and directed, is the title drawing fresh industry attention to his name. He also wrote the apocalyptic thriller A Social Contract, starring Sean Astin — a casting detail that places Hanno's work alongside a performer widely recognised from The Lord of the Rings and Stranger Things.

His feature directorial debut came with Elephants (2018), a romantic dramedy he also wrote. Festival audiences have seen Hanno's directorial work at the Seattle International Film Festival, the Cleveland International Film Festival, and the Newport Beach Film Festival. His horror-satire short Detox premiered on Omeleto, the online short-film platform that curates award-winning work for a digital audience.

Beyond film, Hanno was part of the creative team behind Soundtrip, an interactive audio experience that debuted at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2023. Before stepping fully into writing and directing, he worked in development at Broad Green Pictures and VMI Worldwide — roles that gave him a ground-level view of how projects move from script to screen. He is also the founder of Deadline Junkies, a screenwriting organisation based in North Hollywood.
