Emmys 2026: The Pitt Leads With 25 Nominations Into Los Angeles Ceremony

The HBO Max medical drama leads a packed field into the ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, on September 14, 2026, according to Variety. Close behind is Hacks with 24 nominations.
The ceremony airs live at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on September 14. It is broadcast live on NBC and Peacock, according to the Television Academy.
Hacks is already in the record books. Its fifth season, which is its final season, is the most nominated season of a comedy ever. It is also the most nominated final season of a comedy in Emmy history.
The rest of the top pack is split between streaming rivals. Apple TV's Window's Bay entered the night with 19 nominations, followed by Apple TV's Pluribus with 18. On the broadcast networks, meaning free-to-air channels, NBC's Saturday Night Live led with 11 nominations.
The drama acting races are tight. The nominees for best actor in a drama series are Sterling K. Brown for Paradise, Gary Oldman for Slow Horses, Mark Ruffalo for Task, Rufus Sewell for The Diplomat and Noah Wyle for The Pitt.
The nominees for lead actress in a drama series are Carrie Coon for The Gilded Age, Chase Infiniti for The Testaments, Keri Russell for The Diplomat, Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus and Zendaya for Euphoria.
The red carpet is part of the show. Adam Brody and Ciara Miller were among the arrivals at the Peacock Theater on September 14. NBC scheduled its red carpet pre-show for 6:45-7:45 p.m. ET ahead of the ceremony, with a livestream on NBC's official TikTok, according to NBC Insider.
