Practical Magic 2 has taken No. 1 at the U.K. and Ireland box office with an opening weekend of £2.7 million ($3.7 million), according to Variety.

The reign is over. The Warner Bros. fantasy comedy sequel ended a six-week run at the top for Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the market covering the United Kingdom and Ireland.

It was a close race at the top. Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger opened at No. 2 with $3.5 million, while Pressure opened at No. 3 with $2.7 million, Variety reported.

Practical Magic 2 also finished first in North America in its debut weekend after opening in 4,146 theatres, according to Variety. Globally, the film grossed $46 million in its opening weekend, made up of $30 million from domestic — the United States and Canada — and $16 million from overseas markets, according to Deadline.

Behind the new entries, The Odyssey held fourth place in its ninth week in the U.K. and Ireland with $1.2 million, lifting its cumulative total there to $114.3 million. Spider-Man: Brand New Day dropped to fifth in its seventh week with $1.1 million, reaching a running total of $132.7 million.

That running total moved Spider-Man: Brand New Day past Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avatar and No Time to Die to No. 3 on the all-time U.K. and Ireland chart. Only Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Skyfall sit ahead of it. Worldwide, the film has grossed $2.45 billion, according to Screen Daily.

Further down the U.K. and Ireland list, Fall 2 opened in sixth place with $648,421. Insidious: Out of the Further placed seventh in its fourth week, adding $619,084 for a total of $9.9 million.

Runner, starring Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson, opened in eighth with $517,727. The 45th anniversary 4K re-issue of Raiders of the Lost Ark placed ninth with $326,263, and Coyote vs. Acme rounded out the top 10 in its fourth week with $188,463 for a cumulative $2.6 million.

What makes this stand out is the turnover. Three new titles filled the top three places, and two long-running hits kept pulling in more than $1 million apiece behind them.
