Hawk Hill Pictures Sets November Release for Faith Drama 'The One'
Hawk Hill Pictures will release the holiday faith drama The One in cinemas across the United States on 5 November 2026, in a deal first reported as an exclusive by Deadline.
The pickup covers U.S. distribution, meaning Hawk Hill Pictures will handle the film's cinema release. The company is led by president Jen Katzfey, according to Deadline.
The film stars Martin Sheen and Jana Kramer. It follows an 18-year-old facing homelessness after ageing out of the foster system in Chicago.
The wider cast includes Olivia Sanabia, Nick Zano and Noah Redclay, an Indigenous musician and actor. Producer Erin Elizabeth Cook also co-stars, while Ashlyn Tomlin makes her feature-film debut. She is the daughter of singer Chris Tomlin.
The One was directed by Lisa Arnold and produced by Erin Elizabeth Cook and Adam Ropp. It was filmed in Oklahoma with support from incentives under The Film in Oklahoma Act.
The early November date falls during National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. In connection with the release, the filmmakers have partnered with the nonprofit For Others, founded by Chris Tomlin and his wife, which works to raise awareness of the child welfare crisis in America.
