Almost Friday Media Sends Willie Simon and Steve Furey to Comedy Court in Petty Cases

Almost Friday Media is handing the gavel to two stand-up comics for Petty Cases, a new weekly video podcast built around ridiculous, low-stakes arguments.
Hosted by Willie Simon and Steve Furey, the show premieres on Tuesday, September 22 on YouTube and podcast platforms, according to Deadline. New episodes will land weekly, meaning one instalment at a time on a regular schedule.
The format is courtroom comedy without the courtroom consequences. Simon and Furey preside over absurd disputes. A guest judge hears each case and decides the verdict.
The first run of guests leans deep into stand-up. The line-up includes Bert Kreischer, Ron Funches, Morgan Jay, Frankie Quiñones, Craig Conant, Steph Tolev, Caitlin Peluffo, Shapel Lacey, Asif Ali and Fiona Cauley.
Behind the bench, the show is executive produced by Paige Hymson, executive vice-president of talk content and podcasts at Almost Friday Media, meaning she oversees the series for the company. Katie Felber produces the show and also appears on camera as the courtroom clerk. Simon and Furey are represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
For fans, this means small fights get the full trial treatment. Think roommates, group chats and dinner-table debates. Short cases. Quick verdicts. No real fines.
The idea has already had a live outing. Simon and Furey staged a live edition at Santa Monica City Hall, as seen in an Instagram post from May 2025. Simon then teased the series version in an Instagram reel on July 21, 2026.
