Dancing With the Stars has opened its 35th season with 16 new couples split across two live nights.

The men danced on Tuesday, 15 September. The women dance on Wednesday, 16 September, according to ABC. Each night runs from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. EDT and airs live.

Both nights air at 8 p.m. in a simulcast, meaning ABC and Disney+ show the same broadcast at the same time. Episodes stream the next day on Hulu, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Tuesday's line-up featured eight male celebrities. Tyler Cameron danced with Sharna Burgess, Ezra Frech with Daniella Karagach, Taylor Hanson with Britt Stewart and Conner Leavitt with Adele Zaikman. Jackson Olson danced with Emma Slater, Guillermo Rodriguez with Witney Carson, Harry Shum Jr. with Jenna Johnson and Connor Wood with Rylee Arnold.

Wednesday belongs to the eight female celebrities. They are Tatyana Ali, Giada De Laurentiis, Jenna Dewan, Amber Glenn, Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller, Sarah Jane Nader and Julia Stiles.

The theme is personal on both nights. Each celebrity dances to a No. 1 song from the year they were born, a favourite chart-topper tied to their birth year. Voting opens at 8/7c. The couple with the lowest combined total of judges' scores and viewer votes is eliminated at the end of each episode, which makes for a double elimination across premiere week, as reported by Deadline.

For fans, this means no waiting to see the full cast. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough host the season. Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli are judges. Tune in live to vote, because two couples will be gone by the end of the second night.
