DWTS Season 35 Opens With Two-Night Premiere on ABC

Dancing With the Stars is back for Season 35 with a double launch across two nights.

The two-part premiere airs Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The opening episode is listed as “Premiere: Night One”. Each night runs for two hours, from 8-10 p.m., USA Today reports.

That is a bigger than usual start. After premiere week, the programme settles into its regular slot. New episodes air weekly on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough host Season 35, according to Disney+. They front the live broadcast from the ballroom.

Viewers have several ways to watch live. Episodes air on ABC and are simulcast on Disney+, meaning they stream at the same time as the television broadcast. The show can also be livestreamed through DirecTV, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV.

Cord-cutters get a free window. DirecTV offers a five-day free trial for streaming the show. Fubo offers a five-day free trial as well.

Missed it live? Episodes stream next day on Hulu. That next-day window applies to the main Season 35 episodes.

Last season’s winner is staying in the building. Robert Irwin, the champion of Season 34, will host a new after show titled DWTS After Party.

The after show airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+. It will recap the premiere action and discuss the double elimination, meaning two couples leave in the first week. The aftershow then streams next day on Hulu, ABC says.

For fans, this means two nights to learn the new cast. Then one regular night a week, plus a late-night debrief to sort out what just happened.
