Camille Gottlieb Is Flattered by the Grace Kelly Comparisons — Up to a Point
Camille Gottlieb says she is "incredibly flattered" to be told she looks like her grandmother, Grace Kelly. She also says that is where the comparison should end.
Gottlieb, 28, is the youngest daughter of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco. That makes her a granddaughter of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace, the Hollywood actress who became a Monaco royal.
She was born July 15, 1998, in Monaco at the Centre hospitalier Princesse-Grace. Like other members of the princely family, she appears at major home events. In January she attended the 48th Festival international du cirque de Monaco, the principality's well-known circus festival.
In interviews published Sept. 9 in France, Gottlieb said hearing the resemblance as a child was "one of the best compliments I could ever receive." She still feels that way. The problem starts when admiration turns into expectation.
"There is a difference," she told French magazine Gala, between saying one person looks like another and saying "Grace Kelly wouldn't have done that." Gala
