Hampshire Thrash Surrey to Reach One-Day Cup Final
Hampshire crushed Surrey by 194 runs to reach the Metro Bank Women's One-Day Cup final for the second season in a row.
The semi-final at Utilita Bowl on 16 September 2026 was decided by two commanding performances. Hampshire made 303-5 from their 50 overs, then bowled Surrey out for 109 in 27.3 overs, according to BBC Sport.
Maia Bouchier led the way with 117 not out. Not out means she was still batting when the innings ended. She was well supported by Freya Kemp, who made 77, and Abi Norgrove, who made 60.
It was Bouchier's second hundred in as many matches. She had scored 115 against The Blaze in the previous game, and has now scored three hundreds in September, according to Utilita Bowl.
Surrey never got close in reply. Amanda-Jade Wellington took 5-19, five wickets for 19 runs, to rip through the batting order. Surrey lost all ten wickets with more than half their overs unused.
The win keeps Hampshire's title defence alive. They are the competition's form side with the bat, and Bouchier sits top of the run charts with 721 runs in 11 innings.
Hampshire will now face The Blaze in the final, again at Utilita Bowl.
It was a second consecutive semi-final between these two clubs at the same ground, according to Kia Oval. Last year was far tighter. Surrey made 287, with 81 from Kira Chathli and a fifty from Alice Monaghan, before Hampshire won with 17 balls to spare.
What makes this stand out is the scale of the turnaround. A year after a nervy chase, Hampshire won every phase. For fans, this means a home final with momentum and a batter in rare touch.
