Prince Archie asked for a Leica just like his teacher's.

Meghan Markle said filmmaker Misan Harriman showed Archie, then aged four, how to take photographs in 2023. She bought her son his own camera afterwards.

He had a specific request. Archie wanted a Leica, the German camera brand used by many professionals, like Harriman's, according to his mother. The details were set out again by Hello! on 17 September 2026.

Princess Lilibet is following close behind. She was pictured taking a photograph of her father, Prince Harry, with a Polaroid, an instant camera that prints the picture straight away. The image appeared in a birthday montage Meghan posted for Harry.

New glimpses keep coming. Meghan posted an Instagram video on 13 September 2026 showing Archie and Lilibet in wellies. The clip was described as the family settling into life in the U.K. after a move back, as reported by People on 14 September 2026.

She has also shared rare new photos offering a peek into the children's hobbies, as reported by Hola! on 15 September 2026. Much of it happens outside.

Archie is reported to love sports and the outdoors. Both Archie and Lilibet enjoy skiing and cycling. Prince Harry has been seen teaching the two children to fish, a moment noted by Good Housekeeping on 14 September 2026.

There is a homegrown thread too. Meghan shared an extended beekeeping video alongside Lilibet in May 2025. In March 2025 she posted a fruit-picking photo of Archie and Lilibet to welcome spring. Jam-making is one of Meghan's own hobbies, and the spring post linked the children to that kitchen-garden world.

Other moments are about learning through play. Meghan said she teaches Archie and Lilibet about money through a little farmer's market stand. She described it in June 2025 as a really important lesson for the pair, then aged six and four.

A photo shared in February 2026 prompted suggestions that Lilibet had inherited a love of dance from her grandmother, Diana, Princess of Wales, as reported by People. Another post gave a hint that Meghan is teaching Lilibet Mahjong, the tile game played in family groups.

What makes this stand out is how ordinary the kit list sounds. Cameras, wellies, fishing rods and jam jars. No stage. Just practice.
