Mo\u00ebt & Chandon to Take Title Sponsorship of 2027 Australian Grand Prix

Moët & Chandon, the French champagne house, will be the title sponsor of the 2027 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix. The race will run under the name Formula 1 Moët & Chandon Australian Grand Prix, WWD reported.
The event is scheduled for April 2 to 4, 2027. It will be the third stop on the Formula 1 calendar, the global motor-racing series that stages Grands Prix in different countries through the season. The weekend will include a sprint race, a shorter Saturday race run ahead of the main Grand Prix on Sunday.
The deal extends a wider partnership in motor racing. LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the French luxury group that owns Moët & Chandon, signed a 10-year agreement to become the global luxury partner of Formula 1. That partnership started in 2025.
It already shapes the look of race weekends. Louis Vuitton, the French fashion house also owned by LVMH, held the title sponsorship of the 2025 Australian Grand Prix, which opened the 2025 season, according to Formula 1. TAG Heuer, the Swiss watchmaker owned by LVMH, is the official timekeeper of Formula 1. Moët & Chandon has separately been title partner of the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.
Moët & Chandon returned as the official Champagne of Formula 1 at the opening Australian Grand Prix last year. That was its first presence in the sport since 1997. Champagne here means the sparkling wine from the Champagne region of France, sprayed and sipped on the podium after races.
The house has a long history in the country. Moët & Chandon has been present in Australia since 1888, when it was served at Melbourne’s Centennial Exhibition. The Australian race now draws more than 480,000 fans across four days, according to Formula 1 ticketing.
Moët & Chandon is led by president and chief executive officer Sibylle Scherer. The race is organised by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, led by chief executive Travis Auld.
For fans, this means more champagne around the weekend, on screen and on site. Title sponsorship puts a brand’s name in the official race title, on trackside signs and across race-week coverage. Expect to see it everywhere.
