Netflix Orders Dark Comedy 'All the Rage' as Liz Feldman Extends Deal
Netflix has ordered a new dark comedy called All the Rage and kept its creator in the fold.
The streamer has greenlit the series, meaning it has committed to make it, from co-creators Liz Feldman and Kelly Hutchinson, according to Variety. Feldman has also extended her overall deal with Netflix, meaning the streamer gets first call on her future television ideas. That type of deal is how streamers hold on to writers and producers they want to work with again.
All the Rage centres on Emma and Eli. The two are old friends who reconnect after a long estrangement. They find new purpose in taking down the man who tore them apart. No casting has been announced, so it is not yet known who will play the pair.
Feldman and Hutchinson will both serve as executive producers, the senior credits who oversee creative and business decisions on a show. They are joined by Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum, who executive produce through their company Gloria Sanchez Productions. Christie Smith of Rise Management also executive produces. The credits were reported as part of the series announcement.
The order keeps a proven team together. Hutchinson previously worked with Feldman on two Netflix shows, Dead to Me and No Good Deed. That history matters in television, where writers, producers and executives often move as a unit from one series to the next.
Dead to Me ran for three seasons on Netflix. It starred Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two grieving women bound by secrets. The series earned six Emmy nominations, including nominations for Applegate, Cardellini and outstanding comedy series, according to Variety. It was Feldman’s breakout hit for the streamer.
No Good Deed followed Dead to Me in 2024. It marked Feldman’s next series for Netflix after that three-season run. Details such as episode count, production timing and a release date for All the Rage have not been disclosed.
For fans, this means more of Feldman’s signature territory. Her shows focus on complicated friendships tested by grief, guilt and secrets. A story about two estranged friends uniting for revenge fits that pattern. It gives Netflix another character-led comedy with a dark twist.
