Don't F***k With Ghosts lands in the US with rental debut and ghost-hunt series
Don't F***k With Ghosts has reached audiences in the United States as a rent-or-buy title on Amazon, Apple TV and Fandango at Home, following its Canadian debut.
US distribution is handled by Filmhub, a company that places films onto streaming and on-demand platforms, according to Variety. The launch was reported on 17 September 2026.
The project is billed as a paranormal hybrid comedy from 5'7 Films. It blends a scripted story with the format of an on-camera ghost hunt. It is a co-production between 5'7 Films and Winnipeg-based Fairpoint Films, in association with Toronto-based Farmhouse Productions.
The hook is family. Real-life brothers-in-law Stu Stone and Adam Rodness play exaggerated versions of themselves. Stone co-wrote and directed the film. Rodness co-wrote the film with Stone and served as producer.
The wider cast includes Tony Nappo and Josh Cruddas. Guest appearances come from professional wrestler Colt Cabana, paranormal podcaster Bridget Marquardt and actor Michael Rapaport.
Backing the film as executive producers — a role that usually means financial or creative support rather than day-to-day control of the shoot — are Kevin Hart's Hartbeat company alongside Kyle Bornais, Ira Levy, Ryan Kimel, Kent Sobey and Kevin Healey, Variety reports.
The US arrival comes with a second launch aimed at home viewing. 5'7 Films has partnered with The Moment Lab to start Potluck Originals, an original YouTube channel. The idea is simple. New shows live on YouTube and are free to watch.
Potluck Originals opens with The Great American Ghost Hunt, an eight-episode documentary series. It follows Marquardt as she leads organised ghost hunts with celebrity guests. The line-up includes Howie Mandel, Jason Mewes, Symba, Marla Sokoloff, Alisan Porter, members of K-pop group FiveAlive and Cherie DeVille.
For fans, this means two ways in. The film offers the scripted adventure with Stone and Rodness at the centre. The YouTube series offers unscripted-style hunts led by a familiar face from the paranormal world. Marquardt links both, appearing in the film and fronting the series.
