Rosé releases 'New Trick' with video shot on iPhone 18 Pro

BLACKPINK singer Rosé has released a new single, “New Trick”, with an official music video directed by Dave Meyers. The release was reported by Billboard on 18 September 2026.
The video was filmed entirely on Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro. Apple has newly unveiled that model as its latest iPhone. The clip was teased through Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” campaign.
That campaign has a pop history. It previously featured The Weeknd’s “Dancing in the Flames”, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Get Him Back!” and Lady Gaga’s “Stupid Love”, according to Billboard.
Meyers is an American director with a long list of music video credits. He also directed Blackpink’s “Jump”, as reported by the Korea Herald. Rosé’s channel listed “new trick (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)” for release on 17 September at 7pm EST.
Rosé described the song in Vogue as possibly the cutest thing she and songwriter Amy Allen have ever made together. Allen is credited as a co-writer on the track.
The release follows a strong chart run for Rosé as a solo artist. Her 2024 single “APT.”, a collaboration with Bruno Mars, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, the US singles chart. It then logged 45 weeks on that chart.
Her debut solo album “Rosie” debuted at No. 3 on Billboard in December 2024. Rosé was born in New Zealand and raised in Melbourne.
What makes this stand out is the pairing of release and device launch. The song arrives as its own pop single. The video doubles as a public test of a new phone camera, watched by millions.
For fans, this means two things to look for. The audio is out on streaming services. The video is available on Rosé’s official YouTube channel.
